Worst Web/E-mail Experience

What's your own worst experience with web-text or e-mail? What's the worst e-mail, website, or blog you've ever seen in terms of design, tone, or content? What had gone wrong? What was your response?

I've had many experiences with bad e-mails or websites that were very deficient or poorly done. One e-mail in particular that I remember was a little ridiculous in my opinion. I received an informative e-mail about a co-ed theatre fraternity I was considering joining, and the person in charge of the fraternity sent out the e-mail telling everyone when the information meeting was. The sad thing was that he was supposed to be representing an official organization, but he misspelled multiple things, most specifically the word “fraternity.” I just couldn’t believe the president of any organization wasn’t responsible and organized enough to even handle that. I know the response was that he lost a lot of respect from me and a few other potential members.

In the end, I didn’t join the fraternity. Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t because of his misspellings and lack of organization. Basically, I just didn’t have time to add another extracurricular activity to my already insanely full schedule. Hopefully one of these days I will be less busy and he will learn how to spell.
